The sign above, in Astana, says, "We're voting for the leader." Tomorrow, April 3, President Nazarbayev will win the election for national president. He has been president of KZ since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991. For political reasons, I can't comment much more. Peace Corps has in the past been kicked out of countries because of volunteer's blog comments. But, because it is such a big day tomorrow, I would not be doing my job if I did not at least say it was happening, even if I can't get into the details of the drama that has surrounded the elections or the inevitable outcome.
