Here is the pile of snow- the blank canvas. I did shovel and pile that far pile by the fence. Everything in the foreground was done by a tractor after wind blew 2ft of snow over the driveway.

Using the food coloring, which was sent from home, to color the train and mountains.

The last thing I colored was the lines on the guard. But it was -9 outside and the water bottle was freezing, so the spray came out all different directions and therefore doesn't look that wonderful. After that, I called it quits for the day.

The plan was to finish it tomorrow. We wanted more color in the mountains, to write "Happy New Year". But when I went inside with the frozen water bottle, I put it and the frozen food coloring down next to my boots to thaw out. This evening I noticed they were gone. My host mom, seeing it and thinking a water spray bottle and food coloring were trash, threw them in the stove and burned them. I was pretty disappointed, as I wanted to make a good snow sculpture this year and hate the idea of putting real paint on snow (what the Kazakhs do). But Kazakhstan has foiled the plan and what you see is what you get. Unfinished but still not too bad.
