Yesterday the forecast was for rain, but I thought I'd try my luck and went out picking strawberries. You can see how small they are- it takes a long time to gather up enough to make it worth your while. But last year I had seen a spot that was crawling with huge strawberries, so I headed off, picking along the way.
Then I looked up and saw black.
Seconds after I snapped this picture, I was in a torrential downpour...and I was 30 minutes from town. So off I went. A car passed me on the way back- I waved at him and he sped by. Thirty minutes later I was back in town, soaked to the bone...but with a small bundle of strawberries.
