"Haladietz"! I think I mentioned this about this time last year, when Gambrill's family killed the cow. Every part of the cow is used and eaten (even the utters). The feet and head are burned with a blow torch and the char (sp?) is scraped off. After that, they are boiled down overnight and made into a jello mold. The pot above is sitting on my stove tonight-- minus the head (they have other plans for that).
The new host family is nice, but so far the food has been more unusual than at my previous two places.
