Tomorrow I leave for IST (in-service training). The PC conference is in Almaty. It's nothing to get excited about-just more PC stuff. And it looks like I'll be heading into worse weather. The weather in Karkaraly this coming week is supposed to be great (in the 50's and sunny for days on end). I imagine most of the snow will be gone when we return. However, in Almaty, it looks like we'll be getting rained on most of the week. It isn't that big of a deal- its just been wet and yucky here in Karkaraly for a week or so and I'm ready for warm and dry. But Almaty has a pizza hut and a hamburger joint. As these two things are next to impossible to come by in my area (at least at American standards), this will be great.
I've been sick for the past several days. I've been getting a cold every month...or it seems that frequent. I've about decided that its because of new germs and different diet. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had vegetables in the last 5 months (and still have fingers leftover)- not counting cabbage. Those few times I've only had tomatoes and cucumbers. I can't tell you how bad I want a salad (pizza hut salad bar!) with lots of greens! I'm hoping to shake most of the cold tonight before I start the 24 hours trek to Almaty.
I'll be back Easter Sunday night. Have a good week and a great Easter!
