The Buran has started again. Buran means "steppe blizzard." It is nasty out. The Regional Manager was planning on visiting us yesterday and today, but the roads are closed and the weather is too bad to travel the highway out to Karkaraly. We convinced her it wasn't worth it and feel like we made the right decision. School is cancelled too. It's 6 degrees out but a website says if feels like -16. It's hard to tell in person because you have the added joy of snow hitting your face (think sandblaster). The left half of my face got pelted on the way to work and my right got it on the way home. Its been blowing solid for 14 hours now and there is no end in sight.
