We got dumped on this morning. I don't know for sure how much we got, but it snowed hard for hours and made the walk to work and back a "slog". I don't think I've ever used that word before coming here, but it seems to be the only one to describe the walk to work. Fun....but a slog. It stopped snowing around 1pm and after lunch I hiked up into the forest behind the office to get some pictures of the trees and untouched snow. Tomorrow is a holiday (Russian Christmas..but essentially just a day off work) and I head deeper into the forest! I asked a guy at work if he wanted to come with me, as he loves photography. His response was "but there aren't blue skies." Ha. While that is true, i think the greyness of the skis here makes for a cool look. I'm sure there will be more to come.
