Gambrill and I made the local newspaper this week. 3 weeks at site and we sat down and did an interview- in Russian. I think that's quite an accomplishment and we managed to do it without embarrassing ourselves, Peace Corps, or America....or so we're told. We can't actually read the article because its in Kazakh and we learned Russian. But the newspaper man was nice and we're told he did an accurate job at saying what PC is and why we are here. The title of the article translates roughly to "Our Americans". Everyone at the office is coming up and shaking my hand, congratulating me on making the paper. I haven't gotten my own copy yet- that is tomorows task! That's if they haven't sold out because of this article!!
